Dr. Ara Walline

Dr. Ara WallineDr. Walline received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University and her Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. Her clinical training focused on biofeedback and stress reduction techniques, chronic disease management, musculoskeletal pain evaluation, and homeopathy. She completed an additional 2 year certificate program in constitutional homeopathy through the New England School of Homeopathy.

As a naturopathic clinician, Dr. Ara Walline draws upon a wide range of experiences in healthcare to inform her treatment philosophy. As an undergraduate, her interest in public health led her to pursue a Minor in Public Policy as well as to work at a women’s transitional center in Boston and with a non-governmental organization (NGO) focused on Women’s Health at the United Nations in New York City. After graduating from college, she spent 2 years working in pharmaceutical sales where she gained a valuable understanding of the American healthcare and insurance system. It was during her 5 years working in the area of public health for a Native American owned consulting company that she was first exposed to a holistic philosophy of health and wellness. Her desire to integrate this type of philosophy into her own life led her to the practice of yoga, meditation and mindful nutrition. During her time at Bastyr University studying Naturopathic medicine, she also worked at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in a lab focused on understanding the role of the immune system in autoimmune diseases, cancer, and pregnancy-related conditions. These experiences as well as her training in Naturopathic Medicine have deepened her appreciation for both the wisdom of modern medical science and the wisdom of medical traditions as diverse as Western Herbalism, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, and Chinese Medicine. In her practice, she seeks to offer patients a truly integrative approach to health and wellness.
